The Gallery 37 summer programme is an opportunity for unemployed young people (aged 16 – 24 years) to develop creative and employability skills and gain knowledge and understanding of employment opportunities within the creative industries and cultural sector.
Working alongside professional artists, from some of the city’s leading arts organisations, participants will experience the very best artistic practice within their chosen art form, whilst being supported to gain qualifications and identify routes to further training and/or employment. Activity will take place across a variety of central Birmingham arts venues and participants’ travel and expenses will be covered.
The programme will run throughout August, five days a week, Monday to Friday, and will be free.
Exact locations are yet to be confirmed and the website is coming soon so for now please keep up to date with YAY16 right here and on Facebook.
