Of All The People In The World: Stan’s Cafe installation – 15th to 19th March

The Library of Birmingham will be hosting Stan’s Cafe’s latest exhibition.

For this beautifully simple performance installation Stan’s Cafe are bringing 1066 kg of rice to the Library of Birmingham, one grain for everyone in the country. Over the course of 5 days a vast array of human statistics will be carefully weighed out and arranged in labelled piles to create an ever changing landscape of rice.

By making normally abstract statistics tangible and placing them in thoughtful relation to each other, Stan’s Cafe create a powerful work of art that is witty, humane, shocking and ultimately moving.

Come and find yourself.
